Dahlia Nyx

alias Sonja Riegert is a performance artist and singer in Berlin. Her main focus is on acting, voice, movement, and text.

She studied Theatre Studies, Religious Studies, and Japanese Studies (M.A.) at LMU Munich and has a background in dance and art therapy. 

As a voice artist/ singer she is a member of the experimental improvisational ensemble Barefaced Body Ensemble.

She was involved as a performer in the development and staging of SINTFLUT (2022, ACUD Theatre) and participated as a dancer/performer in the site-specific performance Scenography like a musical instrument - A BEAUTIFUL NAME (2022) at Schlachtensee in Berlin.

Her performative solo works are among others SOMNAMBUL (2023, Dojo dance theatre, Berlin), FLOAT (2021, boerse Wuppertal) - musically accompanied by Wuppertal Opera - or MEIN DIMMER FLACKERT UND... (2022, Festival für Freunde).

In TECHNOMARMELADE (2020, ACUD Theatre), her grotesque physical theatre duet with Eszter Parragi, with musical accompaniment by Katarzyna Wieczerzak, she shows power relations in private and intimate two-person relationships.

She developed and played the music for the performance GRÜNER AZUR at the Winterquartier of Stadttheater Spandau (2022) and danced in SALARY MAN (2022, ManiFestival, ACUD).

She has also performed in various music videos, among others for THE DREAM COLLISION and IAMTHESHADOW.
